A Morning of Art, Laughter, and Treats in the City
Shane enjoyed the day very much. In the morning, Staff Akhil asked Shane what activity he would like to do today. Staff offered a few options such as visiting the Art Gallery, going for a tram ride, or exploring the Air Force Museum. Shane chose to visit the Christchurch Art Gallery.
We arrived at 10:00 a.m. and parked the van about 800 meters away, enjoying a pleasant walk to the gallery. On the way, Shane noticed a bright red telephone booth and told the staff AE how much he liked its red color. Akhil asked if he would like to take a photo there, and Shane happily agreed. The staff took a lovely photo of Shane from inside and beside the red telephone booth. Shane replied to the staff that he loves these photos and laughed louder.
At the gallery, Shane had a friendly chat with the front office staff and shared that he was excited to see the artworks. He spent nearly an hour exploring the exhibitions, watching photo displays and video slides presented on a large wall-mounted screen. Shane seemed very interested and engaged throughout the visit.
On the way home, Shane suggested stopping at a café for a drink and a snack. So, we visited Black & White Coffee Wigram, where Shane ordered a cold chocolate and macarons. He really enjoyed his treats and asked the staff to send his photos to the office.
Shane and staff returned home, ending a happy and well-spent morning.
