Vocational Activities were initiated in June 2014. Discussions were held with people to identify what they would like to be involved in. Suggestions were meals on wheels, washing vehicles, mowing lawns, helping people with garden maintenance and having their own little version of “The GoodLife” including hens, vegetable gardens and fruit trees.
We were also contacted by Brighter Futures / Corner Stones and offered the opportunity for people to be supported and educated in understanding and signing contracts, completing time sheets, monetary skills and various other skills that people wished to learn.
This opportunity could not have come at a better time and has worked hand-in-hand with the up-skilling of people we support around the Vocational Activities.
