Just a 15 minute stroll to the Mosgiel township but still providing a rural outlook - we have the best of both worlds here at Centre Street. The move from Dunedin’s hills to the Taieri Plains in October 2012 has meant warmer weather and the opportunity to enjoy living in the new homes in Mosgiel. The homes encapsulate the concept of “indoor/outdoor living “ - double glass doors leading to cobblestone and grass areas that lend themselves to evenings of leisure and barbecues. The raised vegetable garden at 6 Centre Street ensures a balance to the meal.
Inside 4 Centre Street are six spacious bedrooms, each with their own individual flavour. The wide hallways ensure easy access to all rooms within the home. The large dining room and lounge areas provide ample space for leisure activities.
The home at 6 Centre Street has the same features but is a little different with three bedrooms at each end of the building, a shared kitchen and separate entrances – hence number 6 and 6A Centre Street. This allows a quiet environment when desired but also gives the opportunity to mingle when that is preferred.
Everyone living at the homes was involved in the selection of their bedrooms and décor. Some bedrooms are alive with colour while others are more sedate.
The climate is of a nature that promotes beautiful gardens and many people in the district, including ourselves, take a stroll around the area to enjoy the flowers in bloom. We support local business and pop into town to visit the shops as well as the local tavern to sample the fine food and drink on offer.
All in all life’s great here on the Taieri.
